Abstract：To study the effect of buckling-restrained braces in high-rise steel frame structure,
three models were established by the finite element analysis software SAP2000, of steel
frame, common braced frame and buckling-restrained braced frame. The three models were
analyzed under action of rare earthquake by the method of nonlinear time history analysis. According to
To the time history analysis result, it indicates that seismic behavior of the structure is
significantly improved by buckling-restrained braces in high-rise steel frame.
