Abstract: To solve the problems of poor adaptability, high injury rate, poor seed filling performance and unsuitability for high-speed operation of mechanical corn seed-metering device, a pneumatic corn precision seeder was designed.The performance test of the seed-metering device based on the JPS-12 seed-metering device test-bed shows that the best seed metering speed is 9 km/h, the best seed height is 80mm, and the best negative pressure value is -3.5 kPa. High-speed seeding performance of the seed-metering device remains good, so it is suitable for highspeed operations. The field test results meet the performance index (the qualification index, the leak-sowing index,the replay-sowing index and the coefficient of variation of qualified seed spacing) in JB/T 10293—2013 “specifications of single seed drill (precision drill)”.
